OMS Girls Basketball 5/6
The OMS girls basketball teams seasons are off and running! In total, the 5/6 grade team is 5-3. The fifth grade team lost in a nailbiter to Heritage Christian with Peyton Morris and Stella Romine leading the Miners in scoring with 4 points apiece. Another close loss came against Monforton with Braxtin Clark scoring 10 and Stella Romine, Kaydence Rothmeyer, and Mayla Sheil adding 2 points each. The 6th grade team came away with a huge 36-2 win vs. Homeschool yesterday with Braxtin Clark leading the scoring with 16 and Kaydence Rothmeyer adding 8. Great work girls!
OMS Girls Basketball 7/8
The 7/8 grade team is off to a 4-2 start most recently with a nice 20-7 home win vs. Homeschool in which Rowan Mitchell led the offensive attack with 8 points. Zoe Luchini, Lola Morris, and Annie Coltea all contributed 4. Another notable win last week came against Heritage Christian with two miners in double digits. Annie Coltea put up 14 and Rowan Mitchell 12. Also in that game Lola Morris with 4, and Ava Lafiosca, Zoe Luchini, and Sheilo Little with 2. Great work girls!
LPHS Basketball
The LPHS Basketball teams have started practice and are working to prepare with their season opening games. The Bighorns will start with two non-conference games facing Shields Valley on the road December 1st and making their home debut against Gardiner December 2nd. Good luck Bighorns!
