Bighorn Bulletin - September 12

Hello Bighorn / Miner Fans!

Read below for all the details from last week's sporting events in case you missed the action and see what events are coming for BSSD athletics.

Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team continues their win streak taking down Lockwood and Laurel on the road improving their record to 4-0 and taking over as number one in the Eastern Division. They will face a couple tests with Billings Central this Thursday and Park High on Friday both at home in Bighorn Colosseum.

Girls Soccer

The girls soccer team has come up with losses in their last two games, one against Lockwood, who broke their tie with the Lady Bighorns in the last thirty seconds of the game, and one in Laurel giving them a 2-2 record. They will look to get back on top with games vs. Billings Central and Park High at home Thursday and Friday.

Football

The Lone Peak football team has unfortunately been plagued with injuries the last two weeks with many starters on the sidelines for the Bighorns. This has resulted in losses against Ennis and Flint Creek the last two weeks. The Bighorn football team is unphased and will focus on getting healthy for the next stretch of games. They head to Cascade this Friday for a road game and will be back at the Colosseum next Friday the 22nd vs. Seeley Swan.

Volleyball

The Lone Peak volleyball team is still searching for their first win of the season. The Lady Bighorns are the first program to venture into the new opponents of Class B play. They will face Manhattan on Thursday and Jefferson here at home on Saturday.

OMS Volleyball

The OMS volleyball teams had their first games of the season against Home School last week. Both 5/6 and 7/8 teams lost the games but all won a set vs. the cougars. They have a week off before taking on Gallatin Gateway next week.

OMS Football

The Miners are also looking for their first win. Despite finding the endzone a couple times vs. Flint Creek the Miners came up short and will look to pick up a win on the road in Cascade this Friday.

OMS Cross Country

The newly formed middle school cross country team is coming into it's own. The standout in the last meet was Nick Hoadley, who placed 7th out of 90 competitors. Great work guys!
