Whitney, and her husband Will, met in Big Sky in 2003 and married shortly after making Big Sky their home. Whitney was raised on the East Coast attending The Taft School and graduating from Princeton University. Five years in New York City in Investment Banking led to a life change and a move out West to Montana. Transitioning to mountain life led to a great opportunity as the Vice President of the Membership Experience at The Club at Spanish Peaks before having her first of two sons in 2007. Coming from a strong education background, Whitney believes that public education should provide the stepping stone for all young individuals to enter the world as independent, responsible and capable citizens. As a part of the Strategic Planning Committee in the Fall of 2015 that rewrote the Plan for the District, there seemed like no better time to be on the Board than when such a progressive education plan has been embraced by the Community. Whitney has been an active volunteer in classrooms at the elementary level. She works part time for the Yellowstone Club Community Foundation running the Scholarships Program. Whitney is an avid skier, a beginner fly fisher and a black belt in Taekwondo. Her two boys, Wats and Wilson, are in the elementary school.
